Farmers Markets / Roadside Stands / CSAs
Farmers markets, roadside stands, CSAs, oh my! There are a number of ways to find and purchase fresh, seasonal, local products in Calvert County.
To learn what's in season, take a look at the regional harvest guide.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) offers members the opportunity to purchase a ‘subscription’ for weekly or monthly boxes of produce. Members pay in advance, providing farmers with the necessary funds to sustain their farm throughout the season. Depending on the CSA, your ‘subscription’ may be delivered to your door or picked up at a central location. CSA produce ranges from veggies and fruits to meats, eggs, flowers and seafood items. Seasonal CSAs are a great way to support local farmers.
Calvert’s seasonal farmers markets offer fresh, seasonal, locally grown produce, baked goods, flowers, craft beverages, honey and bee products, value-added products and much more! Held at multiple locations throughout the county, farmers markets provide a ‘one-stop shop’ for local products from various farmers and producers. Products and vendors at each location vary.
