Here are some important next steps to help you and your pet reunite as quickly as possible.
Contact your pet's microchip company to let them know your pet is missing.
Be sure to confirm your contact information on file with the company is up to date.
Contact neighboring animal shelters and local veterinarians to notify them of your missing pet.
Monitor our Facebook page and your community's lost animal social media pages, to see if your pet has been reported found or brought to the shelter.
Come visit the Linda L. Kelley Animal Shelter in Prince Frederick to view the animals.
Pictures and descriptions of your pet are used to help staff match animals in our shelter to lost animal reports, however, this no replacement for the positive identification that can be provided by an owner.
If your pet is located, and returned to you, please notify the animal shelter as soon as possible so that we can update our lost animal records.
